Presenter´s biography
Ms. May Roca joined the Dow Chemical Company in 1995, right after obtaining my Chemistry degree at the University of Barcelona.
She started in the R&D Department leading technical projects in the Polyolefins Business. May was the Analytical Resource Leader of the Tarragona labs for several years and finally moved to the Data Services (Manufacturing Analytics) Team as an Statistical Manager, where she has been working for the last 6 years.
Abstract
The Dow Chemical Company started, more than 8 years ago, an internal journey to improve the use and understanding of their data.
The initial vision and the professionalism of the team in charge has brought the company to an scenario of perfect fit within the Big Data global initiative.
This talk would like to share the process followed, some of the insight and learnings, and the value that is already being delivered right now.
