Success factors

PLA Session: Adapting to the digital ecosystem: 360º collaboration and innovation through unconventional thinking

We will embark on a transformative journey into the heart of the digital ecosystem, exploring the dynamic landscape of collaboration from every angle. This session will address the critical importance of fostering collaboration not only within your organisation, but also across the entire 360º spectrum with business partners and vendors. We will explore how building robust, long-term relationships with key stakeholders is paramount to thriving in the digital era.

Success depends on more than just collaboration — it requires a holistic approach and a willingness to think beyond conventional boundaries. We will explore the essence of innovation, emphasising that it goes beyond simply launching revolutionary products — it includes embracing out-of-the-box thinking, digital evolution and adopting data-driven strategies. Join us as we uncover strategies to help you navigate and thrive in the dynamic digital ecosystem.

PLA Session: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning : How to benefit from Data Quality

Many companies are already using the predictive power of machine learning and artificial intelligence to optimise processes and manage resources more efficiently. In lab operations, teams can track instrument performance data to spot trends, identify potential problems and avoid unplanned downtime, or use inventory information to respond more quickly to supply chain issues.

We will discover some actual real examples of AI for very pragmatic use. We will also reinforce the necessity to start with data of quality in order to feed any type of automated decision making process.

PLA Session: Standardisation and Connectivity: Get your Data right and FAIR

In this session, we will discuss the common challenges on the path to digital transformation. Advances in laboratory automation are helping teams to utilise this connectivity to further improve quality and efficiency. But despite decades of investment in digital technologies, the vast majority of laboratories have yet to realise their full potential. All too often, connectivity and end-to-end solution integration issues, as well as fragmented legacy systems, are holding organisations back.

We will delve into the critical pillars of standardisation and connectivity, illuminating the pathway to ensuring your data is not just accurate but also FAIR. The objectives of FAIR data, first coined in the paper ‘The FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship’, are to make scientific data: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

Join us as we explore strategies, tools, and best practices to harness the power of standardized data and seamless connectivity, empowering your organisation to thrive in an era defined by digital transformation and scientific excellence.

Includes a deep dive workshop ( 4 hours training format - October 16, 13:30 - 17:30) lead by Mr Burckhard Schaefer, SiLA Board Member, AnIML Task Group Lead with the following title: Hands on lab digitalisation, instrument connectivity and data management at scale using standards

PLA Session: Quality Culture: How to remain compliant while adapting to new technologies

In this session, we will look at the critical nexus of quality culture and technological development in lab environments. As the industry continuously undergoes digital transformation, regulatory compliance becomes a complicated dance between tradition and innovation. Join us as we explore strategies, best practises and real-world insights on how organisations can navigate this dynamic landscape to ensure seamless adaptation to new technologies while adhering to strict compliance standards.

Includes a deep dive workshop ( 4 hours training format - October 16, 13:30 - 17:30) lead by Mr Robert McDowall, Director @RDMcDowall ltd with the following title: Ensuring compliance and data integrity in digitalisation projects requires process understanding
