Unlocking Lab Efficiency through Digital Transformation: Signals Research Ecosystem

Ben Bracke Paperless Lab Academy

Presenter: Ben Bracke, Principal Field Application Scientist at PerkinElmer Informatics

With over 30 years of experience in the Chem- and Bioinformatics space. Ben holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and did postdoctoral research at the University of Cardiff. Starting his commercial career as a cheminformatics product manager at Chemical Design Ltd., he joined Oxford Molecular Ltd. in 1997 (which became Accelrys in 2001).

Ben joined Tripos UK Ltd. as a Senior Software Consultant in 2001. Since 2003 until today, he works at PerkinElmer, where he has held several positions in services, product management & product marketing. Today Ben is focused on promoting the cloud based Signals Notebook and other connected Signals for research products.

Ismail Ijjaali Paperless Lab Academy

Presenter: Ismail Ijjaali, Director, Informatics EMEAI Field Application Science at  PerkinElmer Informatics

Ismail Ijjaali received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Henri-Poincaré University, Nancy, France. After his post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern University Chicago and a diploma in Computational Chemistry, Ismail spent 8 years at Aureus Sciences (now part of Elsevier) where he was involved in consulting activities for their chemical/biological knowledge databases and managing several funded European projects in drug discovery. Ismail joined PerkinElmer in 2012 as part of our Regional Marketing team working on Chemistry Enterprise solutions and Analytics. Currently, Ismail holds the position as Director of the EMEAI Field Application Scientist team.

Research Scientists daily face the challenge that the science they are doing is complex and often generates a high volume and variety of data. In addition, they are spending too much time preparing this data and learning the tools to explore it vs the time they can spend on ideation and innovation. In this workshop we will present the PerkinElmer Signals Research Platform which is designed from the ground up to consider these challenges.
Agenda topics will include how Signals Research Platform can be used to analyze instrument data coming from any R&D workflow whether it is derived from a plate reader or an analytical instrument. Furthermore, we will demonstrate how the experimental context can be captured and used for further downstream analysis including combining this with other inhouse or public data sources to facilitate better decision making. Join us in our workshop and see for yourself why the Signals Platform has been selected by some of the leading pharma and chemical companies including GSK, Bayer, Janssen.
