Integrating analytic data, tools and software: How to improve analytical development through Allotrope
Being a chemist by training (RWTH Aachen University) I am acting since 2014 as a IT Project Manager & consultant supporting Bayer’s R&D functions –in particular analytical labs- with regards to global IT systems. As part of this position I am member of the Allotrope Foundation’s Core Team on behalf of Bayer and leading internal projects that implement the Allotrope framework.
Allotrope is developing an innovative, open framework for managing analytical data throughout its complete lifecycle, using a common set of standard tools.
Allotrope aims to make the intelligent analytical laboratory a reality – an automated laboratory where data, methods and hardware components are seamlessly shared between disparate platforms, and where one-click reports can be produced using data generated on any analytical instrument.
Allotrope's vision of an intelligent analytical laboratory will be realized through the creation of an open "ecosystem" in collaboration and consultation with vendors and the analytical community.
