Scilligence’s web-based cheminformatics and bioinformatics solutions are designed for any device, browser, and platform.

Scilligence, a software company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was founded in 2010 by scientific and IT leaders from Novartis and Boehringer Ingelheim to address some of the unmet needs in the field of research informatics.

The company supplies pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical industries with state of the art informatics tools to improve their R&D bottom line. By seeding universities, research institutes, and government agencies with our innovative tools, Scilligence empowers leading scientists working on the cutting edge of life science research and help in the training of next-generation scientists. Scilligence’s proprietary technologies address three main areas of Life Science R&D informatics needs: knowledge management and collaboration; project, workflow, and material management; and knowledge mining of unstructured data.

Scilligence’s informatics solutions enhance knowledge sharing and productivity of researchers in discovery and development of small molecule and biologics therapeutics.

Scilligence’s project management and inventory systems improve productivity and safety compliance. Their applications are specifically designed to minimize IT footprints and require no client-side installation. The Scilligence platform is designed by scientists and for scientists. Ph.D. biologists and chemists work closely with software engineers to develop their wide-range of informatics products.

Scilligence’s solutions are built using their own proprietary technologies. Having no dependency on third-party providers allows the system to be fully customized based on the client’s needs. They have has successfully configured and implemented solutions at various biotech and pharmaceutical companies and has been referred by its current clients to future perspective ones.

What makes the Scilligence platform different?

• Powerful integration components for internal and external collaborationsSciligence paperless lab academy
• A single platform supporting both small molecules and macromolecules
• Truly designed for any device, browser, and platform
• Absolutely no Java dependency
• Fully supports HELM (Hierarchical Editing Language for Macromolecules) notation (Scilligence developed the JavaScript HELM Editor for Pistoia Alliance)
• Developed completely by Scilligence allowing complete configuration and customization unique to each company, organization, or institution
• Flexible workflow engine to enable process control and ease system integration
• Cost effective in deployment and maintenance

Scilligence’s software is very intuitive and has a shallow learning curve. There is little downtime or access interruption. There is very minimal downtime in off peak hours for upgrades. New catalogs can be easily incorporated with use of SD files. Scilligence’s solutions can be deployed on their client’s on-premise server or on the cloud. Scilligence is certified in quality management and data security. The system is fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

Scilligence is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts with locations and presence in China, U.K, and San Diego, California.
