Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry knows many data types and formats.  To ensure FAIR data (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable) principles it is crucial to store data in a suitable long term archive.  While many solutions exist for simple document archives, a full fledges Open Archive Information System for various data, according to ISO 14721:2012 , is hard to come by.  Bayer is currently developing such a system together with a strategic partner to ensure long term accessibility of core company data.

This presentation will outline the challenges of central archiving within a global enterprise and the technical opportunities that currently exist to overcome them.
